Tracking Trucks with GPS technology?

Hello, I currently own a very small delivery truck company and I am looking for some type of GPS system that I can keep track of my drivers with. Preferably, I would like to be able to look at my office computer and see all of my trucks on screen moving on a map. Is there a way to track my vehicles with some sort of software?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Kid, my guess would be to look at qualcom technology. This allows tracking, communications with the driver etc. I was at a company that used this type of equipment, they could ask questions and the driver can respond by typing an answer back. I would look into leasing this equipment, it is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination to buy.
Tracking was very good, they knew if I was moving or stationary.

There are a lot of GPS Fleet Tracking vendors out there. They will install GPS units (covertly if requested) and then provide you with access over the Web to track your trucks. In addition to being able to watch live truck movements online, the better vendors provide reports that help you reduce fuel consumption, eliminate excess overtime, etc. Also, some gps fleet vendors may have a minimum fleet size requirements. Check out http://www.fleetmatics.com. Depending on your fleet size, they could be good fit.
