This is a great product if you want to direct wire your Garmin to the fuse box in your car. You no longer has to mess with the power cord that comes with the Garmin.

I bought this to use with the Nuvi cradle of the RAM Mount system as the GPS doesn’t get much more than 4 hours of battery usage. However, the Nuvi mount cradle doesn’t use the Garmin power system and the GPS must be directly powered. Specifically with my 765T, it must be cradle mounted or powered by mini USB connector. This cable was a waste of my money, unless I can find a powered cradle compatible with the RAM Mount system.
