   Nothing is free and GPS companies are not going let this out for “free” with extensive investments in maps, mapping updates and POI databases.

   A good substitute and one of the best applications on any handheld is Google maps. It’s on the iPhone.

   Since you have a Treo and most likely a data plan try this first, not only does it work well but it’s FREE.

   When I’m in a WiFi zone, I can use Google maps on my TX at no charge.
